Dayboro is a town in the Moreton Bay Region, approximately 46 km North-Northwest of Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland, Australia.
To the north of Dayboro lies the D’Aguilar Range and the mountain township of Mount Mee. Other nearby towns include Petrie and Samford. The land surrounding the town supports avocado and pineapple plantations, as well as dairy cattle. The scenic countryside is a spectacular destination for motoring enthusiasts, with hilly backroads through rolling paddocks and forest.

HISTORICAL TOWN WALK
The walk starts at “Dayboro Cottage” 27 Williams St Dayboro, the home of the Dayboro District Historical Society and the oldest residence in Dayboro still on its original site. There are 18 buildings listed in the brochure with a short description of each building and a photo. The oldest building is “Hay Cottage” which was built about 1871 on a farm at Rush Creek and moved to Dayboro in 1989. The other buildings were built between 1897 and 1946 and most of them are still original. Two of them were destroyed by fire and rebuilt.

DAYBORO ART GALLERY
Dayboro Art Gallery is a very active organisation and the members are all well known local artists. The artwork displayed is constantly changed and very innovative from different schools of art and media, creating a unique selection of artwork for all to enjoy. The gallery is open seven days 10am to 3pm.

MT MEE STATE FOREST
A 25 min drive from Dayboro will find you in part of the D’Aguilar Range which adjoins Brisbane Forest Park. It features rocky waterholes, cool streams and rainforest walks. The walks range from a short 1km circuit through a grove of Piccabeen palms to The Somerset trail which is a 13km circuit and will take between 3-4 hrs to enjoy.
